At the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, there is a single, flat price called the Pier Pass that is applied to both daylight and nighttime container moves. The TMF will be $34.21 per TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit) or $68.42 for all other sizes of containers as of August 1, 2021.
The updated OffPeak program known as PierPass 2.0, which has a flat charge structure, has taken the role of the earlier OffPeak congestion-based approach as of November 19th, 2018. If cargo is transferred out of the Port of Los Angeles/Long Beach port during peak hours, there was a cost in the earlier PierPass system. In an effort to ease regional transportation congestion, the LA/LB port instituted the Pier Pass traffic mitigation fee.
A Pier Pass fee, if applicable, will show up as a destination charge on your Forceget quote or invoice.
